About Grace:
Grace Chun is a Master Makeup Artist--professionally trained and certified in both Beauty Artistry and Special FX Makeup by Hollywood's Studio Makeup Academy*. An accomplished makeup artist with experience in all aspects of the entertainment industry, Grace is quickly emerging as the industry's most well thought of new artists in Southern California.
Her story begins at a local figure skating competition. At the age of 10 she was left in charge of her sister's makeup and hair for the day's events. Despite over-blushing her sister's face, Grace fell in love and it wasn't long before she was asked to do makeup and hair for family, friends, and fellow skaters on a regular basis.
Throughout her high school and college career, Grace was hired to do makeup and hair for theater productions, show choir performances, sorority events, figure skating competitions, and ice shows. Upon completion of her bachelor's degree at the University of California-Santa Barbara, Grace found herself working at a cosmetic dermatologist's office in Newport Beach where she re-affirmed her passion for makeup and skin care. After a few years of working in the business and finance world, she quickly realized that a career enabling her to exercise creativity brought her the most happiness. Just a few months after that realization, her cousin was diagnosed with testicular cancer--it was then that Grace made vast changes to her professional life. By the end of the following year, Grace took a giant leap of faith and decided to pursue a full-time career in makeup artistry. In just a few short months, she had established herself as a go-to makeup artist in both the fashion and entertainment industries. Within her first 3 months as a full-time makeup artist she booked her first celebrity client.
Today, Grace finds herself happier than ever. While her makeup career keeps her on her toes, she is loving every minute of it. Whether she's on set of a film shoot, backstage at a runway show, or prepping someone for the red carpet...you can find her working away and having the time of her life. "I'm so glad I took a chance and decided to pursue a career in something I really enjoy doing day in and day out. Life is too short to settle into any job for convenience sake. It's definitely been a rewarding experience thus far and I've learned so much about myself. The best part about my job is making someone feel good about themselves. I thrive on giving my client that extra boost of self confidence--there's nothing quite like the smile of a beautiful and confident woman or man."
